Download MetaMask: Go to the official MetaMask website (https://metamask.io/download/) and select the browser you are using, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. Click on the "Download" button for your browser.
Install the Extension: Follow the on-screen instructions to add the MetaMask extension to your browser. This usually involves clicking "Add to Chrome" or "Add to Firefox".
Create a New Wallet: When you open the MetaMask extension for the first time, it will prompt you to create a new wallet. Click "Create a Wallet" and follow the steps to set up your account.
Set a Password: Choose a strong password for your MetaMask wallet. The password must contain a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
Secure Your Seed Phrase: MetaMask will provide you with a 12-word seed phrase. Write this down on paper and store it in a secure location. This seed phrase is crucial for recovering your wallet if needed.
Verify Your Seed Phrase: MetaMask will ask you to verify your seed phrase by selecting the words in the correct order. This ensures you have properly recorded the seed phrase.
Unlock Your Wallet: After setting up your account, you can unlock your MetaMask wallet by entering your password whenever you want to access it.
Manage Your Assets: With your MetaMask wallet set up, you can now buy, send, spend, swap, and exchange your digital assets, as well as connect to decentralized websites and applications.
Remember, your keys and assets always stay under your control with MetaMask. The extension adds functionality to your browser, so it requires permission to read and write to any webpage you visit.
To connect MetaMask to a specific Ethereum network, follow these steps:
